Fatima Teles tries to create visual and aesthetic spaces leaning on mathematical principles like Fibonacci’s and on the geometric work of Renaissance artists. Her mirror and glass sculptures and installations produce spaces as infinite and her geometrical paintings are made in canvas or paper.
In her latest series, Fatima added figurative elements to her paintings, wanting to confront space as infinite and memories as finite. She finds in Mario Merz, Piet Mondrian and Kasimir Malevich the inspiration for her creative process.
