"Relatório do Interior" is a series of drawings with charcoal pencils or black ballpoint pen on A4 paper, sometimes from notebook sheets, produced at the end of 2018. A time in the artist’s life when he was prematurely living in Lisbon and attending the master’s degree in painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon. Influenced by the writings of Charles Bukowski and the films of David Lynch, Hugo Castilho expresses through a precise and sentimental imaginary trait, a surreal, grotesque and autobiographical, in which insecurity, addiction and filth, install a scenario of fear and loneliness.
