"Desejos de Azul" is a work of acrylic on circular canvas (50 cm in diameter), where the face of a woman is portrayed.
Painted in 2020, the work combines the various aesthetic experiences carried out by Joana Lopes, over the last few years, both in figurative painting and in abstract painting.
The woman depicted in the painting, through her facial expression, refers the viewer to the female archetypes associated with seduction. The environment around the face is created through a set of colours that merge, flow, and cross each other.
