The idealized places in my last series of paintings are far from any city, serene, liberating, peaceful, magical and sometimes nostalgic. They represent atmospheres of places and try to recreate the notion of silence. This is the only painting in these series that has no static composition, emerging almost as an eruption, a dazzle, "Glorious Day". The materials used are natural pigments and china ink on cotton paper.
