This work, belonging to the series "The Cult of Memory", arises from the intention to honour and stimulate memory. Between the game of knowing and recognising, remembering and forgetting, which walk side by side in the images, in the photographic records and the constructions and reconstructions, Rita Pinheiro also, through painting, establishes a reconstruction process, a diffuse interpretation, mediated by the photographic record, in a personal search for the unspeakable and inaccessible. The series "The Cult of Memory", was present in group exhibitions, as well as in two individual exhibitions, at the Ortopóvoa Art Gallery (Póvoa de Varzim) and the Martins Sarmento Museum (Guimarães).
