PHOLANGIO PHALANGIOIDES is designed to be integrated in a public, outdoor space in the Alentejo region.
The work represents a spider or, in the scientific name, a Pholcus phalangioides, a spider subspecies or Pholcidae.
These synanthropic animals that share urbanization with us inhabit the ceilings, dwellings, warehouses, basements, attics, garages, or other cool, shady, sheltered, and uncrowded places.
Due to its synanthropic characteristic, there is a relationship between human presence and its presence; however, its visibility increases in inverse proportion to human activity, since its habitat is located in areas inaccessible to man.
Thus, the implementation of this structure in Alentejo aims to alert to the problem of depopulation of the largest region of Portugal.
