Digital elaboration from my work 'Refúgio' (Haven), winner of the Art in Public Space and Sustainability Award, promoted by dstgroup and zet gallery with the support of IB-S - Institute of Science and Innovation for Bio-Sustainability of the University of Minho. 'Refúgio', currently installed in the Parque da Nossa Senhora da Guadalupe, in Braga, is an accessible sculptural space that invites you to imagine alternative ways of living and being in the world, open and osmotic to the natural environment. REFÚGIO crosses the boundaries of sculpture and architecture, offering the public a place that encourages to reflect on the interrelationship between all living species and to re-imagine the positioning of human beings in the world. REFUGIO reinterprets the classic form of the cloister with interior garden, recurring model in European sacred architecture with notable examples in Braga, namely the cloisters of the Sé and, in particular, of the Monastery of São Martinho de Tibães.
