The work "Vegetal" is painted in acrylic on canvas. This canvas was part of the exhibition "Tropeços na Poesia" where the poem "Um Adeus Português" by Alexandre O'Neill was interpreted. Each canvas represented the artist's interpretation of each of the poem's stanzas and a series of smaller canvases explored small parts of those stanzas. In this work the vegetal concept of the fifth stanza is explored:
"You couldn't be stuck with me
to the small pain that each one of us
brings sweetly by the hand
to this Portuguese pain
so mild almost vegetal"
