This piece is part of the series of work entitled "Eyes - Nose - Mouth", in which the face is reduced to its essential elements, taking advantage of the micro-expressions of non-verbal communication to convey an emotion or idea.
The choice to use clay and other similar plastic materials not only allows a certain freshness of the final work but also the inclusion of the artist's gesture as an integral part of the pieces. Also, the use of old traditional materials, like wicker and ceramic, in new combinations and forms prompts viewers to reflect on the validity of technological evolution.
