In essence, my work reflects moments when something extraordinary occurs.
I chose to use the marble of Thassos as a material for its purity, nobility and whiteness. It was through research I found the technique of goldpoint , which on marble changes according to the light and adds its own charm and symbolism.
The large scale drawings are done on paper. It takes months to create one of them. I'm fascinated by the rhythm and the direction of the lines, which create paths within the artwork. When drawing, I concentrate on details, search the harmony so that everything works as a whole and that magic happens.
I often think that the lines of the drawing generate a network, which serves as a metaphor for the substance that forms all there is. It is as if by drawing I could reveal the spirit within the matter, uncover part of the mystery.
