In my works what interests me is feeling something, they are all linked to parts of my life, so they are part of me; What is more important in my works are the use of color and the representation of light.
The ideas for creating new works come up whenever I'm creating another, so I look for suitable photographs and adapt them according to the colors they transmit to me; the materials I use are acrylic, oil, coal, dry pastel, graphite and watercolors; the themes vary from straightforward stories or criticisms to self portraits. The influences in my work come from impressionists and post impressionists artists, such as Gauguin, to contemporary artists such as Paula Rego and Cristina Troufa.
