The theme of my work deals with the idea of the human experience and visually expressing the beauty as well as the pain that is a part of the experience. My art involves visually powerful images that attempt to force the viewer think about uncomfortable issues without deflecting their own feelings. I attempt to achieve this through personal, social, and historical references while in process of using the canvas as my chalk board inform the viewer about the theme that I am documenting.
