Volker Schnüttgen

"Da Pedra: technical-poetic experiences of a sculptor" is the retrospective exhibition by Volker Schnüttgen (Germany, 1961), an artist represented by zet gallery, which is on display at the Common House of the Rectory of the University of Porto. The exhibition has the support of zet gallery and the dstgroup and is a tribute to the artist who celebrates 60 years of age and 35 years of career, 30 of which were spent in Portugal. The exhibition features “an unprecedented selection of small sculptures and projects that reflect the same presence of his sculpture in the common territory of citizenship: the public space”, explains Helena Mendes Pereira, general manager and curator of zet gallery. Curated 360º by Helena Mendes Pereira and Bárbara Forte, from zet gallery, the exhibition also features retrospective content including a book and a documentary about Volker.
