A sunflower at the end of the cycle. Half of sunflower was the most balanced way we found to photograph this flower at its end of life. The option of black and white is a compliment to the form to the detriment of the color, which was already very faint at this time. This work is part of a set of flowers / dried plants that show us surprising forms that were evident in the exhibition carried out at Hospital de Santiago in Setúbal last year. The title given to the exhibition "After ... before ..." translates me by what we understand: the plants "After the ..." their verdant beauty present new beauties "Before ..." lose their forms. The process was from this idea to look in the fields and gardens flowers at their end of life, interpreting their forms that the light was drawing. The project has no mentor who knows and continues to develop.
