The photograph is part of the ongoing work "Body. Mind. Land", in which I explore the interrelationship between physical and mental well-being, and the impact of the environment on health, in relation to my own lived experience of recovery from depression.

Pictures of nature refer to therapeutic walks into nature and represent the different moods and states of mind I experienced at the time I photographed them.

"Atone for the lost time" is a metaphor for longing for freedom.
