This series of painting from urban landscapes was developed between 2012 and 2013 for the solo exhibition "Revisões da Paisagem Urbana" (Urban Landscape Reviews). The work "reviews" has two meanings: the first is related to the revisits to the urban landscape as a theme in Painting - which has been forgotten in the contemporary art - and the second is the fact that the buildings or represented sites are real spaces and possibly known to the viewer - in this sense the viewer "re-sees" something from the urban landscape.
Along with the exploration of the subject, was the eminent aim of carrying out a plastic exploration to bring good painting practices for the contemporary context, which would be added the photo to the resource and its digital manipulation - this is the starting point for each painting. The result is forced prospects with intentional distortions present in many paintings of the series. Ultimately, it was aim of this series represent spaces that were at the same time concrete and abstract, identifiable but decontextualized - a site, an attention focus flanked a white drained.
