Mariana Mizarela is a visual artist, mostly a collage maker! She's been developing several projects with different media such as old photography, postcards, collage on canvas and animation. She researches old vintage photography from the XX century, especially the 50s. The pictures seem so theatrical, so magical and that strikes her.

Her main concerns are about bringing up some world’s issues content and personal experiences. She seeks out the relation between the images. And while so develops surrealist compositions in order to explore our unconscious. Collage it’s image gameplay and the combinations within the pictures are infinite.
She already developed several projects for festivals, art biennials, art fairs, galleries, and collective and solo exhibitions. She also develops as a teacher several workshops that use the technic of collage with a didactic and social critical approach. She's also a member of a multicultural collages collective in Barcelona.
