This work is from the series Haptic Memory, which focuses on the artist's individual memories on how she recalls touch. Maria Kokkonen finds interesting at how our skin is like a canvas layered by haptic memories. Touch can recall former memories forming very complex and abstract emotions, which the artist tries to capture in her current work.
