Jorge Marinho, born in Maputo (Mozambique) in 1968. He holds a degree in Plastic Arts obtained in the Faculty of Fine Arts of University of Porto. In addition to specializing in Painting, throughout the course he prioritized the following subjects: Printíng Techniques, Sculpture, Modelling and Drawings of the Body.
The creative process of this artist originates from improvise and from the unexpected creating an order within the chaos.
His work is based on environmental, social and political issues present in modern society.
This artist´s work reflects the use of various materials such as wood, pigments, glues, canvas, acrylic paints and oil paints, etc.
As an artist, he has been awwarded several prizes for his painting and has participated individually and with other artist in national and international exhibition.
