Work composed of a plate and porcelain cup from which emerge two forms of the human body, made of cold porcelain. From the plate rises a finger surrounded by leaves and small fruits and, from the cup, a vulva flanked by leaves and berries. The title of the work refers the observer to the context of tea ceremonies, traditional in Japan. The word ceremony covers the field of rite, solemnity and etiquette, which points to a particular way of acting within a given context. In the tea ceremony, the practitioner and his guests must master the precepts associated with the moment. From this context, in this work, the observer is invited to look at the sexual act as a ceremonial space, where eroticism and foreplay are part of the rite. The vulva floating in the aromatic and warm liquid and the phallic finger gently approaching suggest the preamble of the sexual experience.
