This image is second in a series based on the old district of Haikou on Hainan Island, China. I layered several images of the historical architecture to capture the general atmosphere of the conservation area and its iconic buildings in everyday use. A street scene of specific individuals was then added as the top layer which captured an interesting moment of the day with various activities being enacted by the people all of which presents an exciting and magical scene with great depth and subtle tones.
