"Incision 3" is part of a series of eleven canvas, following the concept of the artist Lucio Fontana "Spatial Concept". With this concept the artist seeks to break down with the canvas two-dimensionality and give it a 3rd dimension, characteristic of sculpture. It is intended, therefore, to break the boundary between painting and sculpture. Besides discussing this concept in the execution of these works, some of the features that still further approach the sculpture is the fact that the cuts are result of a sculpture drawing.
