This set is a satire on the famous and historical paintings "Boy of the Tear" and "Girl of the Tear", present in almost every family home of previous generations. They were two angelic and innocent children depicted with a traditional type of oil painting, moving here to an ironic pop art representation with collage effects.

This project is born from a passion for the universe of illustration with collages. It is a raw and spontaneous type of register, which allows unlimited possibilities of experimentation regarding the deconstruction and (re)construction of the image. The fragments are "cut out" and de-contextualized and, when inserted in another context, they transfigure. It is in this game that the beauty of collage lies. The fragments coming from different contexts join with other fragments in the game of experimentations, forming figures that, as a whole, create history. Pop Art and Vintage graphics are a major influence.
