This work explores the theme of menstruation. From a figure of classical style, in resin, the artist created a scenario with elements of nature from which a vulva emerges. The menstruating woman gently lands a foot on the female organ. The blood flowing from her body flows into the vulva. The white of the entire sculpture contrasts with the bright red of blood. It is the delicate forms and this chromatic contrast that invite the viewer to reflect on the concept of menstruation and on many of the taboos associated with it. White as a symbol of purity and delicacy contrasts with the red associated with life, pleasure, and death.
