Photography of the series 'An Illustrated Guide to Greece'.
For most people, Greece evokes imagens of beaches and picturesque villages or, more recently, tragic images of refugees attempting to reach Europe. With this project, my aim has been to deconstruct, expand and enrich the visual images associated with the country where I was born. I attempted to capture an aspect of Greece’s landscape absolutely distant from the typical "postcard images". I also try to evoke the carefree and sad attitude of the country, often even cruel, given the traces of human presence in the middle of nowhere.
