I paint acrylics on canvas, as a panel, with gestural brushstrokes and using the monotype technique. I currently use post-war abstractionist artists and the Japanese-Brazilian artist Tomie Ohtake as references. The title comes from a Japanese term, Ichigo Ichie, with a strong relation to the tea ceremony, which is a meticulous ritual that carries the tradition of ancient Japanese culture in every gesture and subtlety.
