This is a figurative kind of a portrait depicts an intimate moment between a human and an animal. The tones are calmed though the theme is hard, a serious leg injury. I tried to express my feelings at the moment and give importance to this bond between different beings. As a theme, it represents for me my tendency to the small unimportant details of life. The realistic / impressionist approach is a form of trying to catch the moment, and I was inspired by both these painting movements of the end of the 19th century. I still find them relevant nowadays, in the era of fast consuming of images, and fast ways of creating images.
