My grandparents worked in the fields, my grandmothers worked sewing clothes for a living. My parents had to emigrate to Catalonia and ended up owning a bar where the whole family worked. I should have stayed in the bar but I chose the light. They told me it would be difficult and hard, but no one in my family has had it easy, why should I be any less?
Years later I am full of scars, which have been added to what already existed and always defined my way of seeing the world. I will never escape from what is close to me, from the tenderness in my heart and the silence with which I lived for years. It is in this mixture that my photographs are forged.
The combination of these circumstances is what has led me to win several awards and scholarships, to exhibit in the national and international territory, to participate in a good number of catalogues, to publish several fanzines, to collaborate with the University of Cadiz.
And it seems that everything was in an instant.
