R. Gritto is a Portuguese artist born in Porto. With a 5-years degree in Fine Arts/Design from the E.S.A.D.C.R. (Escola Superior de Artes e Desenho das Caldas da Rainha) extension of the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, and with a Master in Communication Sciences from the U.N.L. New Lisbon University, this Fine Artist and Researcher, is the author of several art projects like: Genoma Collection Archive, Collective Earth Colony, Tecnorgancraft Series, Ciburgo Urban Theory, Arma Zen Audio visual corporative Grup, or Hotel 555 (Artist Residency and Cultural Association of Social Participation).
R.Gritto is the result of a moral and ethical genetic formation. He has, about the present reality, an integrated and multidisciplinary vision that relates interests apparently disparate: like sociology with biology, architecture with economy, or painting with medicine. He tries in a way to create a pedagogical vision, through “suggestions”, in order to bring our senses to this reality.
The idea is to imagine or illustrate the fact that, to scream, it is necessary to absorb air with fluidity, to let the organism process it, as it is usual, with all its organic permutations, and only after to let the air going outside reaching a possible frequency to travel long distances.”
