Esposende SmartCity

The "Esposende SmartCity" project was developed by the dst group, mosaic and zet gallery for the Municipality of Esposende. Esposende adhered to the concept of Smart Cities, asserting itself as a transformative territory and a future-oriented city. The presentation of the project “Esposende SmartCity” took place on September 5, 2019, at Forte de S. João Baptista, in Esposende, in a session that also included the inauguration of an environmental artistic installation by Pedro Tudela and Miguel Carvalhais. Within the scope of this project, was also inaugurated the sculpture named PADRÃO DO MAR, by the sculptor Volker Schnüttgen, and the artwork in honour of the People of the Sea conceived by the artist Alexandre Farto aka Vhils. Thus, Esposende bets on the importance of art and culture, namely through the installation of artworks in public space.
