In ''Bending an Ache'' we see two bulls merging into each other or detaching from each other with a high level of body tension and an intense feeling that might almost resemble human pain. The separated heads might be the result of choices we make in life or various “selves" that we hold inside of us.
As the name suggests, the sculptor is trying to shape or bend the human pain into a form.
The sculpture is made of metal pieces hand-hammered and welded together. The gold used compliments the bull’s madness which makes its breed unique and of extraordinary nature.
During the creation process the main approach was thinking of sculpture as a ritual. For the art's 15.000-year journey, from prehistoric sacrifices to contemporary ideas, this sculpture finds its way to be a post-modern sacrifice which is devoted to the new gods of Art, Fame and Money.
