While working on collages and mixed media pieces, I see my hands grabbing papers, smudging paint, holding brushes, scissors and cutters. Sometimes they accidentally become the subject of the painting itself as a figurative element that humanizes the abstract shapes around it. That is more clear in this work, in which my hand is the centre of a collage made of architectural drawings.
It is evident the reference to the hand of Le Corbusier above the scale model of Plan Voisin (1964).
