They may look far-fetched in this collage at first glance. In fact, they are inherent the same difference even though nearly a century has elapsed since 1932. One was an occurrence in the Shanghai-bound train from Peiping which was waylaid and highjacked by the rebel forces of Chang; another one is what is currently happening in today's Shanghai - the city being on lockdown for almost a month now to tackle the Covid-19 whack-a-mole.
And this abstraction is an impressionistic image of the local medical workers in disposable coveralls setting off to conduct nucleic acid tests on the residents.
