As the starting point for this piece, I drew on three concepts: my original photograph "The Square”, the idea of place, and John Luther Adams' music ("The Place We Began," 2009). I deconstructed the photograph to challenge the viewer, encouraging him to listen to the music and connect with his "place". This place can be where we are, where our thoughts rest, or where our imagination leads us.
The set includes the original photograph and the exhibition synopsis where this work was first displayed. The piece is professionally framed, and I printed the images on Hahnemühle paper using pigment ink.
Each part measures 28.5 cm x 28.5 cm. Total dimensions of the framed work: 103 cm x 103 cm x 3.5 cm.
