An apparently normal scene of a girl playing, emptied from any physical context or personal traits. This painting is about a gesture in space, and it's open for different readings. I wanted to give a great importance to a 'little' girl doing her 'childish' things. In a way my intention was to take one moment and to provide it an a-temporal aspect. The manner of painting is half-realistic, half-surreal. Another aspect is the aesthetic game or tension between vivid colors and black background.
