Veiled universe presents an extraordinary moment where our world and the outer space coincide.
While working, I often thought about the idea of an underlying rhythm, like a subtle melody coming from the Universe, which directs everything.
Creating this work was a long process experimenting with the use of the gesso on board as a surface for the drawing, adding subtle colour, concentrating in the details and then engaging in the entire composition, forming direction and rhythm. The objective was to create a visionary image with depth, something delicate yet strong.
The lines of the drawing create a net, which makes a good metaphor for the substance that forms all there is. It is as if line by line, I could reveal a deeper structure, to grasp a bit of the mystery...
