My interpretation of the Sacred Heart. An anthropomorphic creature and a tribute to Portuguese culture and popular art.

With clay work, I acquired a form of freedom because I gave up controlling everything. I trained as a self-taught artist over time and let myself be guided by my experience and my mistakes. Modelling is very important to me, it's like going back to basics. In addition, I'm seduced by the accidents caused by the high-temperature firing that operates on the glaze through runs, stretches and changes in the material.

This tension between the quest for mastery and the impossibility of achieving it is the interest of this medium.
I try to trigger stories in the viewer's imagination, seduce them and provoke them a little.
