Amílcar Cabral refers to this process of weathering as a relative negation of the rock in which natural external agents destroy its structure, negating it and returning it to its "original matter", resulting from the destruction of the rock before it becomes soil. A second negation occurs in the process of weathering which corresponds to the development of soil (a body-soil) which identifies as independent, natural and historical.
Soil means support, soil is a social entity in constant exchange with external agents, one of the forms of exchange is erosion.
