Painter: Edmundo Paz, originally from Brazil, with a Galician father and a Portuguese mother (Braga), now lives in Galicia.
In his work he explores an aesthetic translation concerning space, he studies the metaphorical and utopian idea of Landscape, as an indeterminate disposition in space and time. The dynamics of his painting is gestural, where the line moves and flows by impulses, where he invents other places and atmospheres. Colour occupies the whole territory and marks the rhythm of the work. When drawing, he recreates himself between lines and shapes, where feelings dialogue. He usually works with acrylic paint on paper and canvas. He also uses mixed techniques in large works when he wants to create a visual impact, to produce a different kind of attention, applying different effects and textures.
