Eduarda Ferreira was born in Porto in 1962. She has a degree in electrical engineering and paints since 1984, in parallel with her job as an engineer. At this moment she is dedicated to painting full time.
The themes that have served as inspiration for her works are the result of personal experiences and some of their contradictory aspects: the exact and the uncertain, the permanent and the fleeting, the signs, the memory, the forgetfulness, the incommunicability, the autism, the more or less evident and often unpredictable effect of little things.
Currently, her painting approaches abstraction and, in a reduced palette of colors, she seeks detachment.
In the execution, she uses a multiplicity of techniques that she explores, mixed techniques, which use oil paints, acrylics, glaze, other times collages of materials collected in everyday life.
In painting, she sees an inexhaustible field of possibilities. Each work always opens new paths and acts as an encouragement for the next.
