Pedro Besugo, born in Setúbal, in 1971, lives and works in Lisbon, Portugal.
His multi-layered paintings are a juxtaposed record of travel memories, maps, grid lines, coordinates, city landmarks, architecture and transit spaces. His technique blends a web of abstract drawing, painting, collage, and ink.
In 1986, Besugo enters the António Arroio Artistic High School in Lisbon - where he later teaches in the Department of Image and Audiovisual Communication from 2007 to 2010. In 2001 he obtains a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts - Sculpture, from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Lisbon; followed by a Master's degree in Fine Arts and Education from Lusófona University in Lisbon in 2011.
