Zélia Mendonça presents the exhibition "Second Instance: stories of violence, abandonment and forgiveness" at the Appeal Court in Guimarães, which challenges us to reflect on violence against women.
Curated by Helena Mendes Pereira, the artist is presenting 25 artworks with a strong use of textiles, including works on canvas, torsos and more installation pieces.
One of the works in the exhibition was produced in a shelter for women victims of domestic violence.
10% of the proceeds from the sale of the works will go to APAV - the Portuguese Association for Victim Support, which is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year.
