This is an impressionist depiction of an old photograph of me, climbing the walls. I wanted to represent myself in a chaotic and childish way. The painting is not realistic but still recognizable. I was inspired by the Impressionist movement in the gesture brushstrokes and lack of a clear definition. The focus is on the colours themselves and not in my child figure. The pink colour has connotation such as femininity and girlishness, which interested me as themes to explore.
