Recently, there has been so much in the news about sexual harassment, mostly towards women, in fields ranging from entertainment to government. This is nothing new but it is finally being addressed. As a woman, this issue is especially important and personal for me so I decided to create a piece about it. Primarily painted in somber shades of brown, the woman peers out from the bottom of the canvas with threatening apparitions looming above her. Her face is slightly veiled to show that she has been prevented from speaking out.
