"Ana Cristina Leite was born in 1964 in Porto, Portugal. She lives and works there to this day. Raised in a family of artists, she promptly picked up her mother's paintbrushes and soon the blood in her veins was coursing through the colours in
her paintings. She studied Fine Art at the Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade do Porto and achieved international recognition, displaying unusual tenacity in a solo career spanning over 30 years. (...) She has participated in several individual and collective exhibitions, collecting many awards and above all placing her work abroad and courting fame in such international art fairs as: Miami Basel; FIAC - Paris; ArcoMadrid; Bologna Art Fair; São Paulo Art Fair; Art Dubai; Arte Lisbon; Arte Coruña; Art Frankfurt; Art Cologne; Turin's Artissima; Arte Actual – Seville; and PAN Amsterdam.
