Representation of the Azores archipelago with illustration and digital collages.

This project is born from a passion for the universe of illustration with collages. It is a kind of raw and spontaneous register, which allows unlimited possibilities of experimentation in what concerns the deconstruction and (re)construction of the image. The fragments are "cut out" and de-contextualized and, when inserted in another context, they are transfigured. It is in this game that the beauty of collage lies. The fragments coming from different contexts join with other fragments in the game of experimentations, forming figures that, as a whole, create history. Pop Art and Vintage graphics are major influences.

I chose the name "glueglue" for the project because it transports me to the childhood universe of collages.
