The "dissection" of the "toile de jouy" results in a set of characters, objects and ornaments applied on painted surfaces. The "empty pool" is the protagonist. Human construction whose geometric rigidity loses all reason to be without the presence of water. This absence converts the pool into a "non-place", a kind of headstone, a playing ground, a blank page where we can project our ghosts, anxieties or fictions. In this work, the canvas (ancestral support of the painting) claims the foreground and the raw fabric, immaculate, appears while pictorial stain. Spin, weave, weave, embroider are collages in depth.
