"Fourteen - V" is the fifth of fourteen works that compose a group of works that include drawing, painting, photography and installation. This work captures the artist’s work theorizing, and meets the term Todestrieb, which is explored in psychoanalysis - a death drive. This work is the deconstruction of an image that immediately brings us to mind the idea of path, choice and, finally, death and ascension. The way ink is applied, and the translucent paper is a metaphor for the eternal sleep, fragility of life and body. The main acknowledge influences are Rothko, Rui Chaves, Sophie Calle, and Manolo Millares.
