Virgínia is a contemporary painter focused on realism. Technic has always been the baseline for her work, as well as design and taste - giving realism a freer and more expressive approach.
Her landscapes capture light, form and feel, wrapping up moments in oil brushstrokes. These coarse brushstrokes come through on the canvas in the ochre tones used. They are painted out of doors, in one session. A technic is known as “Alla prima”, to capture the feel of nature as true as possible.
