The expression is harsh, intense, and reflective, in contrast to the softness and clarity of the background. One eye is looking at us, the other is lost. One side has intense colors, the other is reduced to black and white.
I have a passion for the universe of illustration with vibrant collages. The fragments are “cut out” and decontextualized and, when inserted in another context, they are transfigured. And it is in this game that the beauty of this technique resides. The name given to the project “The F Chain - Fragment, Figure & Frame” is based on this principle. The fragments from different contexts join other fragments in the experimentation game, forming figures that, as a whole, create the story and the final frame.
